Plot Summary
Jersey is a compelling tale of a cricketer’s journey, showcasing his struggles and the lengths he will go to fulfill his son’s dreams. The story follows Arjun, portrayed by Shahid Kapoor, who once basked in the glory of cricket stardom in the mid-1980s. Adding to the burden, Arjun squanders the money Vidya had given him for essential payments, leading to conflicts over financial irresponsibility in their household. Arjun’s struggles are compounded by his past, which includes being overlooked for the Indian cricket team—twice—despite a promising career. Baali (Pankaj Kapur), Arjun’s coach, still believes in him and offers an assistant coaching position, but Arjun firmly states he is finished with cricket.
