Jay and Gal, two former British soldiers turned lethal mercenaries, find themselves ensnared by the shadows of their turbulent past. Despite Jay’s desperate yearning to escape the haunting memories of a disastrous mission in Kiev, he struggles to do so. His wife Shel, eager to put their lives back on track, pleads with him to seek steady work. Yet, the ghosts of their former lives loom large, leaving the couple in dire financial straits.

In a bid to restore some semblance of normalcy, Shel organizes a dinner gathering, inviting Gal and his pragmatic girlfriend, Fiona, a no-nonsense human resources manager. As the night unfolds amidst forced cheerfulness, Gal shares the unexpected news of a new job opportunity for him and Jay. Shel encourages Jay to consider the offer, hoping it’s the redeeming chance he needs.

While the evening progresses, Fiona discreetly slips away to the bathroom, where she sketches a mysterious symbol on the mirror and collects a tissue used by Jay earlier—seemingly innocuous actions that unknowingly spark a series of dire events. Eventually, Jay decides to accept Gal’s job, leading them to a shadowy client who hands them a hit list featuring three targets.

Their first assignment involves a figure known as “The Priest,” who eerily recognizes Jay just before meeting his end. Next, they target “The Librarian,” an archivist holding an inexplicable collection of videos. Fueled by a storm of emotions, Jay violently confronts the archivist, extracting crucial information that links back to their troubled history, particularly the Kiev mission, encapsulated in a folder bearing the same symbol Fiona had etched. This unsettling similarity sends chills down their spines.

Persisting against all odds, Gal agrees to continue this treacherous path, as they set out to eliminate those responsible for the distressing footage. In a whirlwind of vengeance, Jay ruthlessly confronts the perpetrators, grappling with his inner demons. Just when they believe they have enough funds to abandon the job, Jay’s infected hand drives him to an unfamiliar doctor who dispenses cryptic advice, compelling them back to their client. However, they are met with a menacing demand: complete the assigned killings or face dire consequences against their loved ones.

Meanwhile, Shel takes their son Sam to their secluded home for protection as Jay and Gal’s grim work unfolds. They find themselves targeting “The MP,” a politically influential figure, and while surveilling his lavish abode, they stumble upon a disturbing ritual culminating in a shocking human sacrifice. Jay reacts instinctively, unleashing a barrage of gunfire that wipes out the ceremony’s leader and several cultists. However, the situation spirals out of control, leading to a deadly chase that results in Gal’s brutal capture and his subsequent mercy killing by Jay.

Upon emerging from the chaos, Jay hastens home, only to discover Shel preparing to defend against intruders wreaking havoc. Outside, he encounters their car deliberately sabotaged and menacing figures encircling them with torches. In a desperate bid to track down their tormentors, he is knocked unconscious, awakening later to find Shel heroically fighting off their attackers.

In a shocking twist, Jay stumbles into the field, where a cult of masked individuals seizes him, leading him to “The Hunchback.” Here, he engages in a fierce knife fight, ultimately overcoming his foe, but is left reeling at the shocking revelation: the Hunchback is Fiona, with their son Sam strapped to her back. As Shel’s sinister laughter echoes ominously, their world crumbles, leading to a haunting ceremony where the cultists, including their client and the enigmatic doctor, install Jay as their new leader in a darkly twisted conclusion.
