Plot Summary

In 1621, a young and carefree Pilgrim maiden meets a gruesome fate at the hands of a demonic turkey wielding a tomahawk, who expresses his malevolent nature with a revolting epithet. Fast-forward several centuries, we encounter a group of college students - Kristen (the embodiment of virtue), Johnny (the athletic star), Ali (the adventurous spirit), Billy (the rugged individualist), and Darren (the book-smart scholar) - embarking on a festive Thanksgiving journey with their families.

After Kristen attempts to reach out to her father, who serves as the local sheriff, their vehicle breaks down in the quaint town of Crawberg (previously known as Crawl Berg). With no choice but to camp for the night, Darren entertains the group with the ancient legend of Feathercloud, a Native American shaman who was dishonorably wronged by Pilgrim Chuck Langston, who happens to be an ancestor of Billy. This grave disrespect compelled Feathercloud to resort to dark magic, summoning Turkie - a vicious entity that returns every 505 years to slaughter all Caucasians in its wake.

Simultaneously, a reclusive hermit named Oscar inadvertently releases Turkie by desecrating a sacred totem pole with his urine. The malevolent spirit retaliates by killing Oscar’s dog, which propels the hermit into a quest for vengeance against Turkie as the creature scurries off. When Kristen shares her chilling encounter with Turkie with her friends, they dismiss her claims as mere fiction—until a lifeless baby rabbit is gruesomely thrown into their campfire.

The following day, Turkie takes control of a passing vehicle after its driver tries to engage with him inappropriately. By nightfall, the friends arrive at their homes, where Johnny seeks to reconcile with his estranged father. Unfortunately, Turkie brutally attacks, resulting in the death of Johnny’s parents. Narrowly escaping, Johnny reunites with his friends, although Ali is distracted by her romantic pursuits. Turkie suddenly interrupts her intimate moment with her boyfriend, Greg, leading to a horrifying chain of events: Turkie brutally slits Greg’s throat, while Ali remains oblivious to the carnage until she too meets a grisly end.

As the group seaches for answers regarding Ali’s fate, they gather at Kristen’s home, fueled by a desire to uncover hidden truths in her father’s extensive library. Unbeknownst to them, Turkie has already infiltrated their midst, having deceived Kristen’s father—who is dressed in a turkey costume for a play—into allowing him access. An awkward meal ensues between Turkie and the sheriff, ending in a violent murder when the sheriff mistakenly identifies the turkey as a duck.

When the group arrives, they are unwittingly welcomed by Turkie, now disguised by the sheriff’s severed head. As Darren searches through Kristen’s father’s books, he discovers a crucial revelation: Turkie can be defeated if his mystical talisman is removed. However, the method for his destruction is shrouded in cryptic text. Stumbling upon Turkie disposing of the sheriff’s body, Billy manages to get the talisman, but Turkie artfully escapes once again.

Frustrated, Billy storms off, leaving Darren to unravel the enigma. The solution reveals that Turkie must be thrown onto a stake and burned while chanting a dark prayer in reverse. Tragically, Billy becomes possessed by Turkie and dies in Darren’s embrace, spurring the remaining friends into action.

With renewed determination, Kristen, Johnny, and Darren track Turkie to his tipi, ready to recite the incantation. Just as they are about to incinerate him, Turkie eludes them, only to be shot by the vengeful Oscar. Returning to Kristen’s home, blissfully unaware of the reanimated corpse of Turkie spilling out from a dumpster filled with radioactive waste, the group basks in their apparent victory.

As Johnny and Kristen confess their feelings to each other, Darren awkwardly retreats for something to eat. However, his search is cut short when Turkie violently rips out his tongue and heart. When Johnny enters the kitchen to find his friend, he too is brutally dispatched by Turkie wielding an electric carving knife.

Kristen escapes with a grievously injured Johnny to a nearby shed, where she fights back against Turkie with an aerosol flamethrower. Although she manages to burn Turkie, he mortally wounds Johnny in the process. As Turkie succumbs to the flames, Kristen seizes a pipe and pummels him into a pile of wood, with Oscar cheering her on as she takes a bite out of Turkie’s charred remains.

In a haunting epilogue, during a family Thanksgiving gathering, a roasted turkey suddenly comes to life, eerily echoing Turkie’s voice: > “Do I smell sequel, biotch?!”
