Abigail Breslin

Abigail Breslin (born April 14, 1996) is an esteemed American actress. Breslin's career began at the age of three when she appeared in a Toys R Us commercial. Her breakthrough role was in the 2006 comedy-drama Little Miss Sunshine, where she played Olive Hoover, a beauty pageant contestant and the youngest in a dysfunctional family on a road trip. Her performance was highly praised and she received nominations for the Screen Actors Guild Award and Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress. Over the years, Breslin has proven to be a versatile actress with roles in films such as No Reservations (2007), My Sister's Keeper, Zombieland (2009), and Stillwater (2021). She has also shown her acting capabilities on TV, most notably in the Fox series Scream Queens (2015–2016).

Breslin has faced both personal and professional challenges throughout her career. In April 2017, she disclosed that she had been raped by an ex-boyfriend and was diagnosed with PTSD. Yet, she has continued to be an advocate against sexual assault despite her personal trauma. Additionally, she faced criticism for not being a blind or deaf actor when she made her Broadway debut as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker, but her performance was nonetheless praised by critics. Despite such adversities, Breslin remains one of the most respected and sought-after actresses of her generation, providing an example of resilience and tenacity in the face of adversity.
