Bill Skarsgård

**Bill Istvan Günther Skarsgård**, born 9 August 1990, is a renowned Swedish actor recognized for his transformative performances in the cinematic world. He shot to fame for his outstanding portrayal of Pennywise in the horror films based on Stephen King's novel, It (2017) and It Chapter Two (2019). Skarsgård continued his horror genre journey, appearing in series like Hemlock Grove (2013–2015) and Castle Rock (2018–2019), in addition to his part in the film Barbarian (2022). Beyond horror, Skarsgård's range as an actor is extensive, spanning a variety of genres such as comedy, thriller, drama, and action in projects like Simple Simon (2010), The Divergent Series: Allegiant (2016), and Atomic Blonde (2017), to name a few. Born in Vällingby, Stockholm, Skarsgård's acting journey began amid a family of performers, being the son of actor Stellan Skarsgård. Seven of his siblings, including Alexander, Gustaf, and Valter are also actors. He kickstarted his career at the young age of 21 with a nomination for a Guldbagge Award for his leading role in Simple Simon. His defining roles include his part in Netflix original Hemlock Grove, his breakthrough performance as Pennywise the Dancing Clown, his series regular role on Castle Rock, and his role as lead villain Marquis de Gramont in John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023). Skarsgård continues his transformative journey and shows no signs of slowing down, as he is set to appear in upcoming projects like the remake of Nosferatu and reprising his role as Pennywise/IT in the prequel TV series It: Welcome to Derry.
