David Koechner

**David Michael Koechner** is a renowned American actor and comedian, born on August 24, 1962. He is prominently recognized for his portrayals of Champ Kind in the Anchorman films and Todd Packer on the iconic television series, The Office. Koechner began his journey in the world of the arts studying improvisational comedy in Chicago at ImprovOlympic, eventually becoming a part of the Second City Northwest. His career took an exciting turn when he relocated to New York City in 1995, doing year-long stints of sketch comedy as a cast member on Saturday Night Live and as a sketch regular on Late Night with Conan O'Brien. He made his mark in film with small roles in movies like Wag the Dog, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Man on the Moon. In 2004, after his breakout role as Champ Kind, Koechner began appearing frequently in various high-profile comedic films like Talladega Nights, Thank You for Smoking, Semi-Pro, and more. Koechner also co-starred in sitcoms such as Bless This Mess and Superior Donuts, while maintaining recurring appearances on Another Period and on the reboot of Twin Peaks. Koechner's contributions to the world of comedy are not limited to acting. He formed a comedy duo with actor Dave 'Gruber' Allen, known as The Naked & T-Bones Show, a live musical comedy act. He went on to create and star in a Naked Trucker & T-Bones Show sketch comedy series on Comedy Central in 2007. Despite recent personal struggles, Koechner continues to build on his career, using his experiences to add depth and authenticity to his roles.
