Gemma Arterton

Gemma Christina Arterton, born on 2nd February 1986, is a notable English actress who initiated her stage career with Shakespeare's Love's Labour's Lost at the Globe Theatre in 2007. She made her film debut later that year in a comedy called St Trinian's. She gained prominence for her role as Bond Girl Strawberry Fields in the James Bond film Quantum of Solace (2008), a performance that earned her an Empire Award for Best Newcomer. Arterton embarked on a number of versatile roles in movies such as The Disappearance of Alice Creed (2009), Tamara Drewe (2010), and The King's Man (2021). In 2016 she started her production company, Rebel Park Productions, to promote female-led content in the industry.

Apart from films, she has left a considerable impact in theatre as well. Arterton starred in The Duchess of Malfi (2014), Made in Dagenham (2014), Nell Gwynn (2016), and Saint Joan (2017), receiving Olivier Award nominations for the latter two. Arteron, who was born with polydactyly, spent her early life in Gravesend. She attended Gravesend Grammar School for Girls and Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, graduating in 2008. Arterton has been married to Stefano Catelli and later Rory Keenan, with whom she has a son.
