James Marsden

**James Paul Marsden**, an American television and film actor, embarked on his illustrious acting career with guest appearances in noted television shows like Saved by the Bell: The New Class (1993), Touched by an Angel (1995), and Party of Five (1995). Fame knocked at his door with his acclaimed portrayal of Cyclops in the X-Men film series (2000–2014) and his roles in the movies The Notebook (2004), Superman Returns (2006), Hairspray (2007), and Enchanted (2007), among others. Moreover, his depiction of John F. Kennedy in the drama film The Butler (2013) and Tom Wachowski in Sonic the Hedgehog (2020) and its sequels garnered considerable attention. Marsden also starred in the science fiction series Westworld from 2016 to 2022 and the black comedy series Dead to Me from 2019 to 2022, resulting in a nomination for the Critics' Choice Television Award in 2023. He played guest roles in popular sitcoms like Modern Family (2011) and 30 Rock (2012–2013). His role in Jury Duty (2023) was a significant turn, where he starred as a fictionalized version of himself and received nominations for both a Golden Globe Award and a Primetime Emmy Award. He was born in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and started his journey in Oklahoma City’s local schools and university, eventually deciding to drop out and move to Los Angeles to fully immerse himself in acting.
