Jason Lee

Jason Michael Lee is an American actor, filmmaker, photographer, and former professional skateboarder. Born on April 25, 1970, Lee began his career in the entertainment industry as a professional skateboarder in the 1980s. However, he gained prominence for his acting prowess, particularly his portrayal of Earl Hickey in the TV comedy series My Name Is Earl, a role which earned him Golden Globe nominations in 2005 and 2006. Lee diversified his acting career with roles in popular films like Mallrats (1995), Chasing Amy (1997), and Dogma (1999), among others. He also lent his voice for characters in animated features such as The Incredibles (2004) and Underdog (2007).

In addition to his acting career, Lee is a co-founder of Stereo Skateboards, contributing significantly to the skateboarding industry. His dedication to his craft saw him starring in numerous skateboarding promotional videos like Video Days (1991) and Way Out East! (2004). Lee took to photography in the early 2000s and has since published photo books like A Plain View. His photography work draws inspiration from the New Topographics movement. In his personal life, Lee has been married twice and is the father of five children.
