Joseph Jason Namakaeha Momoa, also known as Jason Momoa, is a renowned American actor. He made his acting debut as Jason Ioane on the syndicated action drama series Baywatch: Hawaii (1999–2001) and won acclaim for his roles as Ronon Dex on the Syfy science fiction series Stargate Atlantis (2005–2009), Khal Drogo in the HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones (2011–2012), and Aquaman in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) (2016–2023). He also played lead roles in the Discovery Channel historical drama series Frontier (2016–2018) and the Apple TV+ science fiction series See (2019–2022). In the realm of film, Momoa has starred in Dune (2021), the action film Fast X (2023), among others.

Momoa's Early years were spent in Honolulu, Hawaii. He was born to Coni (née Lemke), a photographer, and Joseph Momoa, a painter. He later moved to Norwalk, Iowa, post his parent's divorce where he developed his love for acting. Throughout his illustrious career, Momoa directed and co-wrote Road to Paloma (2014), an American drama thriller film and was involved in several other endeavors which carved his place in Hollywood. He has also appeared as the Aquaman in the LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part and as Declan Harp in the Canadian historical drama television series Frontier. His personal life involved a relationship with actress Simmone Jade Mackinnon, a later engagement and marriage to Lisa Bonet who he has two children with, and a 2024 relationship with actress Adria Arjona.
