Jessica Alba

**Jessica Marie Alba** (born April 28, 1981) is an accomplished American actress, entrepreneur, and businesswoman. Starting her acting career at the tender age of 13, in *Camp Nowhere* (1994), her breakthrough came with her role in the television series *Dark Angel* (2000–2002), which earned her a Golden Globe nomination. Alba has starred in numerous box office hits, including *Fantastic Four*, *Good Luck Chuck* and *Mechanic: Resurrection*, and her collaborations with director Robert Rodriguez, particularly in *Sin City*, are notable. Co-founding *The Honest Company* in 2011, Alba expanded her talents to the business sphere. The consumer goods company offers an assortment of baby, personal, and household products. She was born in Pomona, California to Catherine Louisa (née Jensen) and Mark David Alba. Despite multiple health issues during her childhood, she graduated from Claremont High School at 16 and subsequently attended the Atlantic Theater Company. Alba has continuously used her platform for philanthropic work, supporting a number of charities and actively endorsing voter registration.
