Karan Soni

**Karan Soni**, an Indian-American actor and comedian, known prominently for his character Dopinder in the film series Deadpool, was born on January 8, 1989. He started appearing in significant comedic roles and his acting in films like Deadpool (2016), Deadpool 2 (2018), and Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) captured much attention. Besides his roles in movies, he voiced the character Pavitr Prabhakar / Spider-Man India in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023). Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Karan moved to the United States for higher studies. Initially joined as a business student at the University of Southern California, he fostered his passion in acting there and marked his entry into films with Safety Not Guaranteed (2012). His stellar performances paved way for taking up lead roles in series like Betas (2013) and Other Space (2015). Notably, he casted in movies like Ghostbusters (2016), Office Christmas Party (2016), and Pokémon Detective Pikachu (2019). His versatility in acting also led him to make regular appearances on television series, Blunt Talk (2015–2016) and Miracle Workers (2019–2023). In 2023, Soni reprised his Dopinder character in Deadpool & Wolverine. Subsequently in 2024, he confirmed that he would return as Spider-Man India in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse.
