Lisa Kudrow

**Lisa Valerie Kudrow** born July 30, 1963, is an American actress who first gained international recognition for her portrayal of Phoebe Buffay in the television sitcom Friends, which aired from 1994 to 2004. Praised for her role as Phoebe, she was the first Friends actor to win an Emmy Award. **Phoebe**, one of the greatest television characters of all time, was Kudrow's breakout role, launching a successful film career. Apart from Friends, Kudrow initially appeared in an episode of Cheers (1989). Prior to Friends, she played Ursula on Mad About You, whose character was written into Friends as Phoebe’s twin. She starred in the comedy film Romy and Michele's High School Reunion (1997), for which she received critical acclaim. She later won the New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Supporting Actress for The Opposite of Sex (1998). Kudrow created, produced, wrote, and starred in the HBO series, The Comeback. In 2007, Kudrow garnered praise for her role in Kabluey and appeared in the film P.S. I Love You. She produced and starred in the Showtime program Web Therapy (2011–2015), which received multiple Emmy nominations. Additionally, Lisa is a producer for the reality program Who Do You Think You Are, which unravels the family trees of various celebrities. Outside her acting career, Kudrow serves as an executive producer of the game show 25 Words or Less. As testament to her success, Lisa has been nominated fifteen times for an Emmy and has won twice. Her other notable film appearances include Analyze This (1999), Dr. Dolittle 2 (2001), Bandslam (2008), Hotel for Dogs (2009), Neighbors (2014), The Girl on the Train (2016), The Boss Baby (2017), Long Shot (2019), and Booksmart (2019).
