Robert Knepper

Robert Lyle Knepper, an American actor, is noted for his performance as Theodore "T-Bag" Bagwell in the Fox drama series Prison Break, among several other remarkable roles. He was brought to life on July 8, 1959, in Fremont, Ohio. Raised in Maumee, Ohio, Knepper was constantly surrounded by theater, thanks to his mother's profession as a props-handler in a community theater, which drove him to develop a keen interest in acting. After finishing high school in 1977, Knepper pursued professional roles in plays while studying at Northwestern University. Upon realizing his determination to become an actor, he dropped out of the university and moved to New York City to continue his venture in theater. Despite not initially focusing on film and television projects, he began his screen career in 1986. Knepper found larger roles in films such as Wild Thing and Young Guns II, and made appearances in eminent television series like The Twilight Zone, Star Trek: The Next Generation, ER, and Law & Order. Still, his breakout role and the one for which he is most recognized is as "T-Bag" in Prison Break. After his role in Prison Break, Knepper diversified his acting portfolio with various roles in both movies and on television. His other notable works include significant roles like Samuel Sullivan in Heroes, Angus McDonough in iZombie and Rodney Mitchum in Twin Peaks. In his personal life, he has a son with his first wife, Tory Herald and is currently married to Nadine Kary.
