**Teyonah Parris** is an accomplished American actress, who was born on September 22, 1987. Best known for her notable roles in the AMC drama series Mad Men and the 2014 independent film 'Dear White People', she launched her acting career in 2010. Parris, a graduate of the prestigious Juilliard School, has consistently shown her prowess on the big and small screens, with additional appearances in the drama series Empire and Spike Lee's crime comedy Chi-Raq. In 2018, she graced the drama film 'If Beale Street Could Talk'.
