37th British Academy Film Awards 1984
The 37th British Academy Film Awards, commonly known as the BAFTAs, took place on 25 March 1984 at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London, honouring the best national and foreign films of 1983. Lewis Gilbert's Educating Rita won Best Film, while Dustin Hoffman and Michael Caine tied for Best Actor and Julie Walters won Best Actress. The ceremony also recognized achievements in supporting roles, screenwriting, and technical categories, and was hosted by Michael Aspel.
