Jessica Lange

Jessica Phyllis Lange, born April 20, 1949, is one of the most celebrated American actresses. Known for her remarkable performances both on stage and on screen, Lange has garnered numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, three Primetime Emmy Awards, a Tony Award and five Golden Globe Awards. Her successful acting career, spanning over four decades, started with her debut role in the remake of King Kong (1976). Over the years, her roles in Tootsie, Blue Sky, Frances, Country, Sweet Dreams, and Music Box demonstrated her versatile acting talents. On television, her portraying of Big Edie in the HBO movie Grey Gardens and her starring role in FX's American Horror Story further showcased her wide-ranging abilities.

Besides her contributions to film and television, Lange made her mark on Broadway with her debut as Blanche DuBois in A Streetcar Named Desire.
