In the peculiar town of Dillford, Ohio, a fragile balance exists between three distinct species: humans, vampires, and zombies. The vampires reign supreme, both physically and socially, with an air of superiority that is hard to ignore. They occupy the upper echelons of society, while the zombies are confined to their own segregated quarters, kept in line by special collars that ensure their compliance. Humans, meanwhile, inhabit a precarious middle ground, intimidated by the vampires' haughty demeanor and viewing the zombies as second-class citizens.

Against this backdrop of tension and unease, Dag, a self-proclaimed school nerd, sets out to lose his virginity with Lorelei, the belle of the ball, in an attempt to prove to himself and others that he's not a complete failure. However, his plans are constantly thwarted by Rick Wilson, the cantankerous baseball coach and meat factory manager who fired all the human employees, including Dag's mother, replacing them with zombies as cheap labor. The constant reminders of this injustice simmer beneath the surface, waiting to boil over.

Dag's frustrations come to a head when he's taunted by Rick during a practice session, leading him to choke on his pitches and accidentally injure one of the star athletes. As Dag struggles to cope with the aftermath, his hippie parents try to offer words of comfort, but their well-meaning advice only serves to further embarrass him.

Meanwhile, Petra, a social outcast, finds herself transformed into a vampire after a passionate encounter with Milan, the high school's charming playboy vampire. However, when she tries to take their relationship to the next level, Milan cruelly rejects her, leaving her alone and struggling to adapt to her newfound status as an undead being.

As Dag navigates his own personal struggles, he's also forced to confront the fallout from his past mistakes. His former best friend Ned, who's been ostracized by his family for his love of learning and lack of athletic prowess, has turned to desperate measures to escape the pressures of high school life. After a heated argument with his family, Ned visits the zombie ghetto and allows himself to be bitten by a female teenage zombie, transforming him into one of the undead in a last-ditch attempt to avoid the demands of his own mind.

As Dag (actor's name) is on the cusp of sealing his deal with Lorelei, an unexpected extraterrestrial incursion besets Dillford, plunging its residents into a chaotic melee. The sudden invasion sparks a catastrophic war between vampires, humans, and zombies, with each group wreaking havoc on the town. In the midst of this mayhem, Dag and Lorelei take refuge in a house that is subsequently overrun by a pack of bloodthirsty vampires, leaving Lorelei seemingly lifeless at the hands of Petra (actor's name), whose long-standing jealousy has been simmering beneath the surface.

As the conflict rages on, Dag, Ned (actor's name), and Petra find themselves forced to flee their homes and seek shelter in Stuart Miller's (actor's name) subterranean lair - a sanctum sanctorum presided over by the town's resident doomsday prophet. In this damp, cramped environment, Petra and Ned are driven by their insatiable hunger to devour Stuart and his mother, a gruesome spectacle that underscores the desperation and primal instincts that have taken hold.

Meanwhile, the alien invaders, having pinpointed Dag and company's location, converge on the high school, prompting Ned and Dag to clash over their once-strong bond of friendship. As the rift between them widens, Ned, driven by his non-verbal zombie persona, seizes the opportunity to abandon Dag and strike out on his own. Later, as Petra and Dag become trapped together, they share a moment of intimacy, only for Dag's trepidation to reveal itself in a telltale flinch, prompting Petra's accusatory retort that he is afraid of her.

The extraterrestrial menace, unfazed by the terrestrial tribulations, continues to close in on Dag and his companions. As they frantically seek a means to evade detection, they stumble upon the aliens' peculiar vulnerability: their inability to perceive organic materials. Donning natural fibers salvaged from Dag's hippie mother's wardrobe, the trio sets out to confront their otherworldly adversaries.

Ultimately, Dag, Petra, and Ned are captured by the aliens and herded into a vast warehouse, where they are imprisoned alongside other captives from Dillford. The force fields separating humans, vampires, and zombies serve as a potent reminder of the aliens' dominance. Amidst this bleak backdrop, Lorelei - whose apparent demise had earlier sent Petra reeling - is revealed to have been transformed into a stunningly alluring vampire, her presence sending shockwaves through Petra's previously unyielding demeanor. As Dag, Ned, and Petra begin to grasp the weakness in the force field that separates them, they rally their fellow captives and devise a plan to join forces against their extraterrestrial oppressors, determined to shatter the barriers holding them apart and reclaim their town from the alien invaders.

At Rick Wilson's meat processing plant, the mysterious substance Tetrafluoraxipan holds the key to unlocking an otherworldly secret. The extraterrestrial visitors, drawn to this enigmatic compound, arrive at the factory as Dag persuades Rick to grant the townspeople access. As the aliens immerse themselves in the chemical, they merge into a gargantuan being that begins to pontificate about their peaceful intentions. However, the frustrated residents of the town interrupt its condescending monologue, sparking a chaotic confrontation. The colossal alien retaliates, but the townsfolk soon realize that the ammonia tanks used in the factory can severely weaken it.

Meanwhile, Milan's sinister plans to eliminate Petra are foiled by Dag, who undergoes a sudden and unexpected transformation into a werewolf after narrowly escaping death. As he struggles to comprehend this "big change" his parents had been trying to warn him about, Dag intervenes in the ensuing brawl, inadvertently causing Milan's demise when he becomes impaled on a metal pole.

As the outmatched alien shrinks back to its miniature form, it attempts to flee by spaceship while simultaneously dropping a bomb to annihilate the town. Ned, with his unyielding determination, catches the explosive device, proving himself to be an equal match for his athlete brother despite being a zombie. He hands the bomb to Dag, who expertly pitches it into the ship just as the doors close, resulting in a catastrophic explosion that eradicates the extraterrestrial threat.

As the town returns to normalcy, Lorelei extends a romantic invitation to Dag, only to be rejected in favor of Petra's affections. Meanwhile, Ned appears to have found solace and contentment in his undead state, forging an unlikely bond with his star athlete brother who has also succumbed to the same fate.
