Check out what happened in Smallfoot!

High above the clouds, in a mystical realm hidden from prying eyes, a secluded village of Yetis thrives on the snow-capped peak of the Himalayas. Within this reclusive community, Migo (Channing Tatum) adheres to the ancient principles embodied by the revered Stonekeeper (Common), the keeper of the sacred stones that govern their way of life. As Migo's father, Dorgle (Danny DeVito), performs his daily ritual, projecting himself through the air to strike a gong with his head, believing this act brings forth the dawn, Migo becomes entranced by the enigmatic Stonekeeper's daughter, Meechee (Zendaya), and in his distraction, misses the mark. His careless mistake sends him tumbling beyond the village borders, where he stumbles upon an unexpected sight - a plane crash, its occupants reduced to mere myth, the "Smallfoot" humans, whom the Yetis have long regarded as nothing more than fantastical tales. Migo's revelation sparks a sense of wonder, but his inability to provide proof of this astonishing discovery earns him the scorn of the Stonekeeper and a banishment from their isolated haven.

As fate would have it, Migo is soon visited by an unlikely trio: Gwangi (LeBron James), Kolka (Gina Rodriguez), and Fleem (Ely Henry), who guide him to the Smallfoot Evidentiary Society (S.E.S.), helmed by none other than Meechee. Convinced of the importance of their mission, she persuades Migo to take a leap of faith, venturing below the clouds despite the ancient stones warning them of nothingness beneath. After some trepidation, Migo agrees to take the plunge, but his rope snaps, sending him plummeting into the unknown, where he discovers a world beyond his wildest imagination.

Meanwhile, in the bustling town of Simikot, Percy Patterson (James Corden), a filmmaker of wildlife documentaries, finds himself lost and without purpose. His desperation to regain his fame leads him to concoct a scheme with his assistant, Brenda (Yara Shahidi), only for her to abandon him. It is here that Migo stumbles into the local pub, unwittingly startling Percy, who initially fears for his life. Migo's innocence is short-lived, as he inadvertently frightens Percy once more, prompting the filmmaker to flee in terror. As a blizzard sets in, Migo and Percy take shelter in a nearby cave, where they are forced to confront their differences. Percy, driven by a desire to capture the elusive Yeti on film, narrates his experience, but his plan is foiled when he discovers that the video will require 28 hours to upload. In a last-ditch effort to escape, he attempts to make a break for it, only to be thwarted once more.

As the storm subsides, Migo's toe becomes ensnared in a bear trap, and Percy, moved by Migo's plight, takes pity on him, freeing his foot and binding the wound with duct tape. Their bond forged in adversity, Percy agrees to accompany Migo back up the mountain, where they reunite with the S.E.S., marking the beginning of an unlikely friendship that will challenge their understanding of the world and themselves.

As Percy's unorthodox appearance sparks both curiosity and confusion among the villagers, they warmly welcome him and absorb his cultural essence with open hearts. Stonekeeper, however, harbors a darker sentiment, seething with resentment towards the sudden arrival of this stranger. In an eerie display of candor, Stonekeeper summons Migo to the palace's inner sanctum, where he reveals the traumatic truth: the yetis were once forced to flee their cloud-dwelling home by human aggressors, driven out by the very people they had coexisted with. To safeguard their existence, the yetis created an ingenious ruse – crafting stones and harnessing steam from beneath the clouds to conceal their presence. Migo is stunned into silence as Stonekeeper imparts this somber tale.

Meanwhile, Percy begins to exhibit symptoms of high-altitude sickness, prompting Migo's reluctant agreement to perpetuate the deception. He convinces the yetis that Percy is merely a hairless wild yak, while Stonekeeper locks away the unwitting visitor in a mysterious box, intent on exacerbating Percy's condition. Unbeknownst to Migo, Meechee secretly intervenes, whisking Percy away from harm and depositing him back at his snowy sanctuary.

As the yetis' precarious situation unfolds, their image takes a hit with the public broadcast of Percy's video, which portrays them as feral and violent. The consequences are dire: Meechee becomes distracted by the wonders of a tourist town and inadvertently triggers chaos, prompting police intervention. A daring rescue mission ensues when Gwangi, Kolka, and Migo spring into action to save their fellow yetis from harm.

In the aftermath, as the yetis make a hasty retreat back to their mountain stronghold, they're pursued by a relentless SWAT helicopter. Stonekeeper marshals his mystical stones to take down the aerial threat, securing the yetis' escape to safety – with Migo the sole exception.

As Percy's snowmobile roars into action, he begrudgingly dispatches Migo with a tranquilizer gun, hoping to save his friend from harm. However, the authorities misidentify Percy as their quarry and apprehend him for public disturbance and fraud.

Back at the palace, an emotional reckoning takes place as Migo confronts Stonekeeper about his deception. With remorse-filled apologies, Migo urges the yetis to reach out to humans, despite lingering fears. The once-reclusive yetis begin their ascent into the world beyond the clouds, only to be confronted by a phalanx of police.

In this moment of truth, Percy – donning his disguise – and Brenda emerge from the crowd, standing up for the beleaguered yetis. As humans gradually welcome these ancient creatures, they integrate them into their lives, marking the dawn of a new era in interspecies understanding.

The curtain closes on this cinematic journey with a post-credits scene: Percy, filming his next episode of his TV show, is shocked to discover that one of his teeth has gone missing from his mouth.
