In the idyllic Irish retirement home of Dunmanor, a once-celebrated superhero named Ray (formerly a revered figure) now wallows in obscurity. The public’s fleeting memory has relegated him to the dusty shelves of history, replaced by the flashier exploits of Celestro. As Ray navigates the corridors of his golden years, he becomes increasingly agitated by the fact that even his own grandchildren have lost interest in his legendary feats.

The situation takes a dramatic turn when Jerry, a fellow resident, gets out of control during Hurricane Jane’s birthday celebration. This incident prompts Alicia, the warden, to take drastic measures and “downwardly manage” Jerry’s powers. Tragically, Jerry succumbs to this procedure mere weeks later, casting a shadow of suspicion over the administration.

As Dunmanor’s residents prepare for Hero Day in the nearby town, Ray becomes convinced that something sinister is afoot when he spots youths flaunting Jerry’s abilities. Desperate for help, Ray turns to Celestro, but his plea falls on deaf ears. Undeterred, Ray decides to take matters into his own hands and enlists the aid of his trusty sidekick, Ted.

Under the guise of attending Hero Day, they slip off the bus and begin tailing the youths. Their investigation takes an unexpected turn when they interrupt a car theft in progress. Misinterpreted by the local press, their heroics are reduced to a comical misunderstanding, prompting Alicia to announce that Ray will be subject to the same “downwardly management” procedure as Jerry.

As panic spreads among the residents, many are forced to confront the possibility of having their powers controlled or even extracted. Ray’s friends remain skeptical about the motives behind this sudden turn of events, but Ted uncovers cryptic documents and blueprints in the administration office, hinting at a sinister plot involving Flynn, an orderly with the ability to absorb superpowers.

Confronted by Alicia, Ray is left without concrete evidence to support his claims. With no other choice, he prepares for the “downwardly management” procedure. Meanwhile, Flynn’s treachery comes to light as it becomes clear that he has been using Jerry’s extracted powers to fuel a black market drug trade.

As tensions escalate, Ray and his fellow residents hatch a plan to thwart Alicia’s nefarious plans. With Pendle, Madera, and Ted by his side, Ray sets out to confront Flynn and put an end to the corrupt administrator’s schemes. But first, they must navigate the treacherous security lasers guarding the facility.

As they delve deeper into the investigation, Flynn’s team tracks down the culprit responsible for peddling the illicit substance and subject him to a rigorous grilling. His testimonial leads them back to the unsuspecting retirement community, where Alicia has already rounded up the remaining residents with her cunning and stealth. Seizing the opportunity, she seizes control of Flynn’s extraordinary abilities and begins to assimilate the powers of the superheroes. As the true extent of her plan unfolds, Alicia reveals that her parents met their untimely demise in a catastrophic collapse brought about by one of Ray’s epic battles against malevolent forces. With her motivation crystal clear, she sets out to merge all these superhuman abilities and create an omnipotent being capable of vanquishing its peers. However, her body proves incapable of sustaining the sheer weight of these extraordinary powers, ultimately leading to a catastrophic disintegration. Meanwhile, Ray and his companions suffer defeat at Alicia’s hands, but their triumph is short-lived as they’re left grappling with the aftermath of her implosion. In the end, the superheroes gather to commemorate their hard-won victory, followed by a press conference that brings the truth to light.
