**Lloyd Vernet 'Beau' Bridges III**, born on *December 9, 1941*, has firmly established himself as a versatile American actor with a career that spans over seven decades. He is also known for his work as a film director. Born in *Los Angeles, California*, Beau was the son of actors Lloyd Bridges and Dorothy Bridges. The nickname 'Beau' was given to him by his parents and is derived from Gone with the Wind. He is the elder brother to the well-known actor Jeff Bridges. Bridges' acting career started remarkably early in 1948, initially having an uncredited appearance in the film _Force of Evil_. Subsequently, he featured in numerous television series and films throughout the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. He became widely acknowledged for his outstanding performance in _The Fabulous Baker Boys_ in 1989. Over the past decades, he has appeared in a multitude of television series and movies, playing diverse roles that highlight his range as an actor. Bridges recently played a major character on the CBS television show _The Millers_. Internationally recognized for his contributions to film and television, his career is elevated with a three-time Emmy, two Golden Globe, and one Grammy award win, along with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Furthermore, he was nominated for the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Miniseries Or Special more times than any other actor and won it twice.
