Across the globe in Rome, Chairman Stone Alexander (Michael York) enjoyed accolades from the humanitarian sphere, with his groundbreaking advancements in nutritional technology nearly eradicating worldwide hunger. Amid this admiration, Cassandra encountered Lane, whose unwavering optimism stood in stark contrast to the weight of reality pressing upon them. However, their budding connection was shattered by the cunning moves of Alexander’s apprentice, Dominic (Michael Ironside), a merciless agent who had earlier rid Rostenburg from the picture and seized his decoding software.

As the narrative unfolded, Lane found himself integrally woven into Alexander’s ominous plans, summoned to Rome to brainstorm ideas that would elevate him to Minister of Information within the new World Union framework. In calculating ferocity, Dominic was despatched to silence them, bathing the prophets’ bodies in violence and showcasing the dire consequences faced by those who dared question Alexander’s tyrannical rule. As turmoil erupted, Alexander retreated to Rome, plotting a calamitous military strike inclusive of nuclear devastation poised to rip the fabric of the world apart. Lane, however, remained steadfast, adamantly denying any knowledge of the mysterious sequence. In a moment of desperation, Lane cried out for divine intervention: > “God… Jesus, save me!” At that instant, the dark forces dissipated, the cell door swung open, and Lane emerged, reborn.
