Plot Summary

In the gripping drama ‘The Tiger’s Tail’, Irish property developer Liam O’Leary (Brendan Gleeson) has risen to the pinnacle of success thanks to Ireland’s economic boom, earning him the moniker of a self-made mogul. His grandiose ambitions have led him to propose the construction of a national stadium, but a cunning rival developer seeks to sabotage his plans. As Liam’s empire teeters on the brink of collapse due to market fluctuations and his own reckless decisions, he finds himself on the cusp of a mental meltdown.

The pressure cooker of stress, coupled with his neglect of loved ones Jane (Kim Cattrall), his wife, and Connor (Briain Gleeson), his son, takes its toll. Liam’s erratic behavior is dismissed by those around him as a sign of desperation rather than a genuine crisis. However, two individuals who know him best - his sister Oona (Sinead Cusack) and childhood friend Andy (Ciaran Hinds), a priest - recognize the depth of his anguish and offer support.

The turning point comes when Liam encounters an unsettling figure - his Double - which sets off a chain reaction of self-discovery. As he grapples with this enigmatic presence, Liam is forced to confront the dark secrets of his past, leading him to question his very identity: “Who am I?” The stakes are raised as Liam’s Double reveals a truth about his life that shatters his sense of self and sets him on a perilous journey towards redemption.
