Who advises Izzy to complete her degree before taking a break?

Plot Summary

The film commences with a montage of five disparate individuals offering their distinct perspectives on Izzy Klein, a young woman on the cusp of adulthood. Her sister Sabrina (played by Emma Stone), a Hollywood A-lister, proffers words of wisdom, urging Izzy to complete her degree and then take a much-needed sabbatical.

Back in New York City, where she resides with her boyfriend Aaron (actor TBD), Izzy confides in him about Sabrina’s proposal. However, he responds with skepticism and defensiveness, his insecurities piqued by the prospect of being left behind, much like his band leaving him to pursue their own endeavors. This rejection sends Izzy reeling, prompting her to pack her bags and relocate to Sabrina’s luxurious hotel suite.

Upon awakening the next morning, Sabrina is taken aback by Izzy’s disheveled appearance, sprawled across the room in a state of utter chaos. She offers Izzy a place to stay with her and her boyfriend Sebastian (actor TBD) in Los Angeles, but only on the condition that Izzy agrees to maintain some semblance of order.

As Izzy navigates her new surroundings, she faces an additional challenge: completing a scene from Shakespeare’s repertoire to fulfill her academic requirements. A charming theatre minor named Ross (actor TBD) is assigned to assist her, and Izzy finds herself inexplicably drawn to him, despite his apparent obliviousness to her affections.

Meanwhile, Sabrina’s mother Deb (actress TBD) attends Izzy’s college graduation ceremony, followed by a heart-to-heart luncheon with Amythyst (actress TBD), her daughter’s spiritual guide. This enigmatic figure is a vegan yogi who has recently converted Deb to the power of meditation and spiritual retreats. Although Deb criticizes Izzy’s life choices, Izzy remains supportive of her mother’s newfound spirituality.

In LA, Izzy settles into her new home with Sabrina and Sebastian. They invite her to a high-profile social gathering where Sabrina intends to help Izzy network and build connections within the industry. However, before she can do so, Izzy finds herself entangled in a passionate encounter with Logan (actor TBD), Aaron’s former drummer. This impromptu romance blossoms until Logan departs on tour a few months later.

Sabrina returns from her promotional tour with none other than Zack Ephron (actor TBD) just as Izzy has hit rock bottom, having faced rejection and disappointment at every turn. With her agent’s abandonment of her and a string of failed auditions behind her, Izzy announces that she’s given up on her dreams. The next few months find her holed up in her room, binge-watching television programs on her laptop.

As the seasons change, Izzy ventures out to catch Logan’s band when they return from their tour, only to be confronted by Aaron himself. Her heart still reeling from Logan’s betrayal, Izzy finds herself at odds with Aaron once more as they clash in a heated exchange.

As the snowflakes gently fell onto the picturesque streets of Lake Tahoe, Sabrina (character name) found herself face to face with Amythyst, the mother she had never met before. Her unwavering loyalty to their deceased father’s memory still lingered, making it difficult for her to let go and form a connection with this new person in her life. Meanwhile, Izzy stumbled upon Mikey, a charming ski patroller, who shared her passion for adventure. She convinced her sister Sabrina and Sebastian (actor name) to join them for a drink at the local tavern, where they ran into Deb and Amythyst. The evening took an unexpected turn as Deb had to leave, leaving Sabrina and Sebastian’s already fragile relationship on shaky ground.

As the days went by, Izzy found herself growing closer to Mikey, while Sabrina struggled to come to terms with her sister’s blossoming connection. Sebastian, still holding onto his feelings for Sabrina, continued to send her flowers, which she would ultimately discard without a second thought. Meanwhile, Izzy became an integral part of Sabrina’s life when she accompanied her as an assistant on a film shoot in San Francisco. It was there that Izzy discovered a secret she and Amythyst had been keeping from Sabrina, and she found herself growing closer to the film’s director, Charlie.

As the months passed, Sebastian’s persistent efforts to win Sabrina back culminated in a heartfelt gesture – a card with flowers, which finally prompted her to reconsider their relationship. With Izzy’s gap year coming to a close, the sisters returned to LA, both bearing a newfound sense of optimism and calm.
