Check out what happened in Transformers: Age Of Extinction!

As the Cretaceous period unfolded 65 million years ago, a catastrophic event occurred when the enigmatic Creators unleashed their Seeds, decimating life on Earth and leaving an indelible mark on the planet's history. In the present, geologist Darcy Tyril (Sophia Myles) stumbles upon a dinosaur fossil covered in an otherworldly metal, a discovery that would soon have far-reaching consequences.

The aftermath of the Battle of Chicago still lingered, five years on, and humanity had grown increasingly wary of the Autobots. Officially, the Autobots were granted sanctuary, but beneath the surface, tensions ran high. Cemetery Wind, an elite CIA unit led by the paranoid agent Harold Attinger (Kelsey Grammer) and team leader James Savoy, operated in secret, driven by a singular objective: to hunt down both Decepticons and Autobots, viewing them as a threat to humanity's very existence. With Lockdown, a ruthless Transformer bounty hunter, as their ally, they set out to eliminate the remaining Autobots, including Optimus Prime, whom Lockdown coveted alive.

Meanwhile, Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), an inventor struggling to make ends meet, and his friend Lucas, purchased an old truck with the hopes of sending Cade's daughter Tessa (Nicola Peltz) to college. Unbeknownst to them, this ordinary vehicle would soon become a conduit for extraordinary events. Upon discovering that the truck was actually an injured Optimus Prime, Cade set about repairing his new friend.

As Cemetery Wind and Lockdown converged on Texas to capture Optimus, they threatened Cade's family and friends. The Autobot leader emerged from hiding, engaging the operatives in battle and allowing Cade and his companions to escape. They were subsequently rescued by Shane Dyson (Jack Reynor), Tessa's secret boyfriend, and together they managed to evade their pursuers.

However, Lucas fell victim to Lockdown's treachery during a chaotic chase sequence, leaving the remaining trio shaken but determined. Optimus Prime continued to rally the last surviving Autobots: Bumblebee, Hound, Drift, and Crosshairs. As Cade navigated this treacherous landscape, he discovered that Cemetery Wind was secretly working with KSI, a formidable defense contractor seeking to exploit the Decepticons' technology.

Faced with the possibility of losing everything, Cade hacked into a drone seized during their initial encounter in Texas, uncovering the sinister truth. With his newfound knowledge, he set his sights on infiltrating KSI headquarters in Chicago, driven by a burning desire for information and a quest to protect those he held dear.

As Joshua Joyce, the visionary head of KSI, reveals to Darcy his groundbreaking achievement in Transformium, a revolutionary metal capable of being programmed at a molecular level, he also showcases his prized creation, Galvatron. This behemoth was crafted using data extracted from Megatron's cerebral cortex, with Joshua's ultimate goal being to create an Optimus-like transformer. However, despite multiple iterations, Galvatron consistently takes on the menacing appearance of its Cybertronian counterpart, Megatron. The other prototype, Stinger, is modeled after Bumblebee, while a plethora of additional transformers are being constructed in KSI's state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in China.

Behind the scenes, Joshua has formed an alliance with Attinger, who provides him with captured Autobots to harvest their brains and Transformium. In return, Joshua has promised Attinger a stake in his company once he retires from his CIA career. However, Joshua demands that Attinger deliver something more significant - the fabled "Seed" - before committing to this partnership.

Meanwhile, Optimus Prime and the Autobots launch a surprise attack on KSI's facility, liberating Brains, the diminutive genius, and proceeding to dismantle the structure. Joyce intervenes, explaining to the Autobots that humanity no longer requires their assistance, as humans can now create their own transformer soldiers. The Autobots retreat, leaving Joshua to his plans.

Attinger coerces Joyce into unleashing Galvatron and Stinger in pursuit of the Autobots. Initially, Joshua believes he has control over Galvatron, but this proves to be an illusion. As soon as it is activated, Galvatron displays autonomous behavior, fueled by Megatron's malevolent energies. The two titans clash before Lockdown wounds and captures Optimus Prime, along with Tessa, unintentionally snatching her from the fray. Lockdown transports them to his trophy room, where he houses the legendary Dinobots, imprisoned knights he has kept as trophies.

As Lockdown departs, he hands Cemetery Wind a Seed, a device capable of Cyberforming any area of land. This gift affords Cade, Shane, and the Autobots a narrow window to board Lockdown's ship, which is forced to make an unscheduled landing in order for Attinger and Savoy to receive the Seed. Cade and Shane rescue Tessa, while Bumblebee joins them in their escape. The remaining Autobots successfully liberate Optimus Prime and make their way back to Earth, leaving behind a detachable pod containing the captured Dinobots. As Lockdown's ship ventures into deep space, he remains unaware of Optimus' daring escape from his clutches.

As the intricate web of deception unravels, Optimus Prime (Michael Bay) and Brains reveal the shocking truth: Galvatron, Megatron's reincarnated form, has been manipulating KSI prototypes to create an army and steal the Seed, a powerful artifact capable of converting organic matter into the transformative metal Transformium. The nefarious plan is to detonate the Seed in Chicago, thereby generating enough Transformium to construct a formidable new army for Galvatron. Cade (Anthony Hopkins) warns Joyce about the catastrophic consequences of activating Galvatron and his true purpose, but Joyce's betrayal of Attinger (John Turturro) and retreat to a Hong Kong military garrison with Darcy (Lorenza Izzo) and Su Yueming (Jing Tian) sets the stage for a desperate battle.

Meanwhile, in China, Stinger has been transported alongside Galvatron. As Attinger delivers the Seed to Joyce, Galvatron activates on his own, infecting all KSI prototypes with a mind-control virus that renders them obedient to his commands. The Autobots face a daunting task as they attempt to retrieve the Seed in Hong Kong, only to have their ship shot down by Galvatron's army, leaving Hound and Bumblebee (Hailee Steinfeld) to fight valiantly against overwhelming odds.

Realizing that Optimus has escaped, Lockdown plots his return to Earth, determined to reclaim the Autobot leader and the Dinobots. However, with the help of these powerful new allies, Optimus is able to destroy Galvatron's army and turn the tide of battle in favor of the Autobots.

As tensions escalate, Cade finds himself caught between two warring factions: Attinger, who seeks to eliminate him for his betrayal, and Optimus, who requires his assistance to defeat Lockdown. Amidst this chaos, Tessa (Sophia Myles) and Shane (Mark Wahlberg) work together to extricate the sword from Optimus's wall-bound form, allowing the Autobot leader to exact revenge on Lockdown.

In a dramatic turn of events, Galvatron retreats, vowing to confront Optimus once more. With the Seed in hand, Optimus sets the Dinobots free and entrusts their protection to his fellow Autobots before departing into space, sending a message to the Creators that he will soon arrive at their doorstep, ready to exact justice for the harm they have caused.
