Sabrina, the daughter of a chauffeur, has long been infatuated with the youngest playboy son, David, of a prestigious Long Island family. Despite his lack of seriousness toward her, she fantasizes that one day he will fall deeply in love with her. Seeking to reinvent herself, Sabrina moves to Paris to train as a chef. Upon her return to Long Island, she emerges as a transformed woman on the outside, yet her heart still belongs to David.
When David invites her to a lavish ball at the family mansion, Sabrina is overwhelmed with joy. However, this budding romance poses a threat not only to David’s forthcoming marriage but also to a significant business deal orchestrated by his elder and more responsible brother, Linus. In a misguided attempt to protect his family’s interests, Linus orchestrates an unfortunate “accident” that keeps David sidelined for several days. During this time, Linus takes it upon himself to charm Sabrina, all while convincing David that he is doing it for his benefit.
As Linus feigns interest in leaving his corporate life behind to experience Parisian allure, Sabrina becomes intrigued by this seemingly “hidden facet” of Linus Larabee, and inevitably begins to fall for him. In a twist of fate, Linus lures her into contemplating a life with him in Paris, despite having no real intention of leaving his responsibilities behind. Ultimately, just before making a life-altering decision, Linus realizes he cannot bear to deceive Sabrina further. Instead, he arranges for David, who has recovered from his “accident,” to take his place.
In a surprising turn of events, David comes to the realization that Sabrina’s affections have shifted entirely and that his older brother is truly in love with her. Subsequently, David conscientiously paves the way for true love, ensuring that Sabrina and Linus can sail away to Paris together, where their romantic journey can truly begin.
