Colin James Farrell (/ˈfærəl/; born 31 May 1976) is an Irish actor, revered as a leading man in blockbusters and independent films since the 2000s. Highly received for his impressive performances, he has earned various accolades, including two Golden Globe Awards and a nomination for an Academy Award. Prestigious establishments have recognized his talent, like The Irish Times naming him Ireland's fifth-greatest film actor in 2020, and Time magazine listing him as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2023.

Farrell kick-started his acting journey with the BBC drama series Ballykissangel in 1998 and made his film debut in The War Zone the following year. His first lead film role was in the war drama Tigerland in 2000, and his major breakthrough came with his role in Steven Spielberg's sci-fi film Minority Report in 2002.
