Laurence Fishburne

Laurence John Fishburne III, usually credited as Larry Fishburne until 1993, is a prominent American actor who has also earned recognition for his roles in stage productions. He is a three-time Emmy Award and Tony Award winner known for his impactful and authoritative roles on the big and small screens. Fishburne's major roles include Morpheus in The Matrix series, Jason 'Furious' Styles in Boyz n the Hood, Tyrone 'Mr. Clean' Miller in Apocalypse Now, and 'The Bowery King' in the John Wick film series.

His depiction of Ike Turner in What's Love Got to Do with It earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. In 1995, Fishburne became the first African American actor to portray Othello in a film adaptation. His other noteworthy contributions can be found in Contagion, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Ant-Man and the Wasp. Alongside his film roles, Fishburne is known for his work on television, such as playing Dr. Raymond Langston on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and Special Agent Jack Crawford on Hannibal. Currently, he is starring in the Broadway revival of David Mamet's play American Buffalo.
