Michael John Douglas, known professionally as Michael Keaton, is an American actor. Born on September 5, 1951, he gained fame for his comedic roles in movies such as Night Shift (1982), Mr. Mom (1983), and Beetlejuice (1988). He gained wider popularity after portraying the superhero Batman in Batman (1989) and its sequel Batman Returns (1992). Over the years, he has taken roles in a range of movies including Clean and Sober (1988), Jackie Brown (1997), Herbie: Fully Loaded (2005), and The Other Guys (2010). Later in his career, Keaton experienced a resurgence when he starred in Alejandro González Iñárritu's Birdman (2014), a role that earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor and an Academy Award nomination. Keaton has since acted in biographical dramas such as Spotlight (2015), The Founder (2016), The Trial of the Chicago 7 (2020), and Worth (2021). Furthermore, he reprised his role as Batman in The Flash (2023) and the title role in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024). Keaton's personal life has seen him being married once and fathering a son.
