Molly Ringwald

Molly Kathleen Ringwald, born on February 18, 1968 in Roseville, California, is a multifaceted American talent known for her work as an actress, writer, and translator. Ringwald first sprung to fame as a child actress in the sitcoms Diff'rent Strokes and The Facts of Life in 1979-1980. Her raw talent was recognized when she scored a Golden Globe nomination for her performance in the drama film Tempest (1982). She became a teen idol following her roles in John Hughes's teen films Sixteen Candles (1984), The Breakfast Club (1985), and Pretty in Pink (1986), which led to her being referred to as a member of the 'Brat Pack'. Her last teen roles were in For Keeps and Fresh Horses (both in 1988).

After her successful early career in Hollywood, Ringwald moved to Paris and began acting in French films. In the subsequent decades, she has continued to maintain a prosperous career, acting in television shows such as The Secret Life of the American Teenager (2008–2013), Riverdale (2017–2023), Creepshow (2021), Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (2022), and Feud: Capote vs. The Swans (2024).
