Shelley Hennig, born January 2, 1987, is an acclaimed American actress, model, and beauty queen. Hennig carries a distinguished profile with several accolades to her name, including a Teen Choice Award and two Daytime Emmy Award nominations. Before setting into an acting career, Hennig was a competitive beauty pageant contestant and was crowned Miss Teen USA 2004. Her first major acting gig came as Stephanie Johnson in the soap opera Days of Our Lives (2007–2011, 2017) and later starred in the supernatural teen drama The Secret Circle (2011–2012). Teen Wolf (2014–2017) and Obliterated (2023) added to her fame, as did films Ouija (2014), Unfriended (2014), and When We First Met (2018). Hennig was born in Metairie, Louisiana, and experienced a significant life event when one of her older brothers was tragically killed in a drunk driving accident. She also became the first winner from Louisiana and the first girl from Louisiana to win a national title since Ali Landry, Miss USA 1996. As Miss Teen USA, Hennig represented the Miss Universe Organization and made numerous guest appearances, including one in the NBC soap opera Passions. After the Crown on MTV, Days of Our Lives, The Secret Circle, and Teen Wolf are some of the notable roles in her acting career. She also committed to charity work, speaking out against underage drinking and partnering with the Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse.
