Mirror Mirror 2012

In this mystical tale, the enchantress Clementianna has spun a narrative of her own design. Once wedded to the widowed king, she witnessed him embark on a treacherous quest to eliminate the darkness that plagued their kingdom, a journey from which he never returned. Left alone, Clementianna took control and imprisoned her young stepdaughter, Princess Snow White, within the palace confines.

Fast forward a decade, and Snow White has blossomed into a radiant young woman, filled with a thirst for adventure and freedom. Seizing a chance to escape unnoticed, she ventures into the forest, encountering Prince Alcott of Valencia along with his loyal valet, Runbock. Sadly, Alcott’s party has faced trouble from a group of mischievous dwarfs who made off with their valuables. Instantly captivated by one another, a spark is ignited between Snow White and Alcott.

As destiny unfolds, Snow White discovers the townspeople suffering under Clementianna’s oppressive taxes. Determined to act, she seeks out Prince Alcott, hoping he can assist in reclaiming her rightful place on the throne and rejuvenating the kingdom’s prosperity. Meanwhile, Clementianna becomes enamored with Alcott and plots to marry him for his considerable wealth.

To ensnare Alcott’s affections, Clementianna organizes a lavish ball, blissfully unaware that Snow White secretly attends in order to plead her case to the prince and persuade him to help her restore the kingdom. However, the enchantress soon learns of their meeting and commands her manservant, Brighton, to capture Snow White and deliver her to “the Beast,” a terrifying creature said to roam the woods.

In a surprising turn, Brighton, moved by compassion for the princess, spares her life and advises her to flee before the beast approaches. Finding refuge with the dwarfs, Snow White meets her new companions: Will Grimm, Butcher, Wolf, Napoleon, Half Pint, Grub, and Chuck. When Brighton later returns to collect taxes for Clementianna’s extravagant lifestyle, the dwarfs cleverly steal the donations, prompting Snow White to return the stolen funds to the struggling townsfolk.

Clementianna deceives Alcott into believing Snow White has met her end. Yet, when he discovers that the bandits responsible for Brighton’s hardships have robbed him as well, he pursues them into the forest, only to uncover that Snow White is alive and training in combat with the dwarfs.

As misunderstandings ignite, Snow White and Alcott face off in a fierce battle. Their miscommunication unravels as they duel, leading to Alcott returning to Clementianna to report that Snow White is alive and leading the dwarfs who had thwarted Brighton’s tax plans. In her enchanted realm, Clementianna consults her mystical confidante, the Mirror Queen, who punishes Brighton by transforming him into a lowly cockroach and brews a love potion aimed at Alcott, hoping to enslave his heart just as she once did with Snow White’s father. Unfortunately for her, the potion induces an uncontrollable puppy love in Alcott, making him devoted to her.

The Mirror Queen, exerting her dark powers, sends two gigantic marionettes to attack Snow White and the dwarfs. However, Snow White rises to the occasion, cutting the strings that bind her adversaries. Just as Clementianna prepares for her wedding to Alcott, Snow White and the dwarfs storm the event, abducting the unsuspecting groom. The outraged aristocracy, appalled by Clementianna’s failure to protect her interests, demands her abdication.

Back in their refuge, Snow White works relentlessly to reverse the spell binding Alcott. She ultimately discovers that true love’s kiss can break the curse. Meanwhile, Clementianna, in a final confrontation with Snow White, unleashes the Beast at her, hoping to vanquish her rival. Though the Beast captures Snow White, it hesitates at the brink of destruction, influenced by a moon charm around its neck that mirrors Clementianna’s talisman.

Seizing the moment, Snow White destroys the charm, lifting the curse and revealing her father—the Beast—restored to his true form. As the balance of magic shifts, Clementianna finds her strength waning, her very essence unraveling.

Grateful for Alcott’s efforts in liberating his daughter, the King consents to their union. Yet, during the wedding, a mysterious old woman appears, offering Snow White a tempting apple. Recognizing her guise, Snow White cleverly utilizes her father’s dagger to slice the apple and presents it to Clementianna as proof of her defeat. With her powers depleted, the enchantress vanishes into nothingness.

In the aftermath, the Mirror Queen acknowledges Snow White’s victory, as her tale ultimately triumphs over darkness. As peace returns, Snow White, Alcott, the King, and the dwarfs enjoy a newfound happily ever after.
