Aaron Perry Taylor-Johnson, born on June 13, 1990, is an English actor acknowledged for his roles in several popular films. His acting journey began with his portrayal of the title character in Kick-Ass (2010) and its 2013 sequel. Taylor-Johnson's reach extended into the Marvel Cinematic Universe as he played Pietro Maximoff in Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015). His acting career started as a child, glistening through roles in Shanghai Knights (2003), The Illusionist (2006), and Angus, Thongs, and Perfect Snogging (2008). His breakthrough performance came as John Lennon in the biopic Nowhere Boy in 2009, which was directed by his future wife, Sam Taylor-Wood. He continued to impress audiences in Savages (2012), Anna Karenina (2012), and Godzilla (2014).

His skillful portrayal of a psychopathic drifter in Nocturnal Animals (2016) awarded him the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor – Motion Picture. This performance also earned him a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role. Since then, he has continued to dominate the screen in action films such as Tenet (2020), Bullet Train (2022), and The Fall Guy (2024). Off the screen, he changed his name to Taylor-Johnson upon marrying Sam Taylor-Wood in 2012. Together, they have two children. Taylor-Johnson and his wife reside on a farm near Bruton, Somerset, where he nurtures his love for vegetable farming.
