Tom Kenny

**Thomas James Kenny**, born July 13, 1962, is a celebrated American actor and comedian known worldwide for providing the voice to the titular character in _SpongeBob SquarePants_. Kenny has also contributed his voice to numerous other characters, including Heffer Wolfe in _Rocko's Modern Life_, the Ice King in _Adventure Time_, and the Narrator and Mayor in _The Powerpuff Girls_, among others. His live-action work includes the comedy variety shows _The Edge_ and _Mr. Show_. As a seasoned voice artist, Kenny's achievements include two Daytime Emmy Awards and two Annie Awards. **Kenny's passion for voice acting started in his childhood**, where he spent most of his time drawing and listening to record albums. He first got a taste of performance art when he attended an open-mic night with Bobcat Goldthwait, and they performed under monikers Tomcat and Bobcat. He later attended Bishop Grimes Junior/Senior High School, and after college, he performed stand-up comedy for eight years. Kenny's voice acting talent led to roles in _Rocko's Modern Life_, _The Fairly OddParents_, and _Camp Lazlo_. His versatility is evident as he has lent his voice to characters such as Dog in _CatDog_, Penguin in _The Batman_, and Squanchy on _Rick and Morty_.
