Donald Trump

**Donald John Trump** (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessman, television personality, and politician who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. He also won the 2024 presidential election as the Republican Party nominee and is set to be inaugurated as the 47th president on January 20, 2025. He got his Bachelor's degree in economics from the University of Pennsylvania in 1968 and later took over his family's real estate business in 1971, renaming it The Trump Organization. He ventured into politics in the 2000s, eventually running a successful presidential campaign in 2016. Major policies during his first term included stringent immigration measures, tax cuts for businesses and individuals, deregulation, and a significant overhaul of health care. He was twice impeached, first in 2019 on charges of abuse of power and obstruction of Congress, and again in 2021 for incitement of insurrection, but was acquitted both times in the Senate. He is also one of the most controversial presidents in American history. During his first term, he implemented policies that sparked mass protests and was often criticized for his racially charged and misogynistic remarks. After his term, he was ranked as one of the worst presidents in American history by scholars and historians. Despite losing in the 2020 presidential elections, he refused to concede, making false claims of widespread electoral fraud. He is also under multiple felony indictments related to mishandling of classified documents and interference in the 2020 elections.
