What's After the Movie
Grey DeLisle, also known as Grey Griffin, is an American voice actress and singer-songwriter, best known for her roles in animated productions and video games. Born Erin Grey Van Oosbree on August 24, 1973, in Fort Ord, California, she grew up in a Mexican-American household. Her parents, truck driver George Van Oosbree and singer Joanna Ruth, separated when she was young and she was raised by her vocalist grandmother, Eva Flores. DeLisle went on to attend Chula Vista High School. Her passion for voice acting began in her late teens when she imitated voices in her comedy routine, earning the attention of a casting director. She has voiced over 2,058 roles in 533 titles and has credits for 'additional voices' in 45 more. She began voicing Daphne Blake in the Scooby-Doo franchise after inheriting the role from Mary Kay Bergman. DeLisle's musical career was significantly influenced by country music, and she credits her father's love for the genre as the key influence on her taste.
