Kuleska's acting career started in earnest in 1992 when she made her film debut with a leading role in the comedy-drama Czlowiek z.... This kickstarted her stellar trajectory that saw her star in an assortment of productions, including Poznań '56 (1996), The Spring to Come (2001), Expecting Love (2008), and Suicide Room (2011), earning her the Złota Kaczka Award for Best Actress.

Kulesza's multifaceted talent was further recognized in the war drama Rose (2011), earning her Polish Academy Award for Best Actress. This was followed by a remarkable performance in Ida (2013), where she received numerous accolades, including the Los Angeles Film Critics Association Award for Best Supporting actress.
