**Aimee Sandimés Garcia López de Ordóñez**, famously known as **Aimee Garcia**, is an American actress and writer born on November 28, 1978. She is known for her television roles as Veronica Palmero on the ABC sitcom George Lopez, Yvonne Sanchez on the CBS period drama Vegas, Jamie Batista on the Showtime drama Dexter and Ella Lopez on the Fox/Netflix drama Lucifer. Garcia was born in Chicago, Illinois to a Mexican mother and a Puerto Rican father. She started her acting journey in commercials as a child, while also participating in theatre. After graduating from Northwestern University, she temporarily quit acting only to return to it after moving to Los Angeles, California, in 2002. Throughout her career Garcia has portrayed numerous notable roles on television and film. She took on roles in TV series such as The WB's Greetings from Tucson and George Lopez, Disney Channel's original movie Cadet Kelly, and NBC’s medical drama, Trauma, to name a few. Besides her television career, she appeared in films such as *Major Movie Star*, *D-War*, and even narrated the Adam Sandler film *Spanglish*. She was part of Showtime’s Dexter for three years and was nominated for a SAG Award for it. Garcia joined the main cast of the Fox television series Lucifer in 2016 and starred in the independent film El Chicano in 2019. She's also ventured into writing, forming a writing partnership with former professional wrestler AJ Mendez, co-writing comic book series and even establishing the production company Scrappy Heart Productions. Her latest venture includes voicing Alex Gonzalez in the DreamWorks Peacock animated series Dragons: The Nine Realms.
