Aleyse Shannon

**Aleyse Shannon** (born May 16, 1996) is a renowned American actress. She shot to fame for her exceptional roles as Kris Waterson in the remake of _Black Christmas_ in 2019, Breanna Casey in _Leverage: Redemption_, and as Jada Shields in the 2018 reboot of _Charmed_. Shannon was brought up in Stafford, Virginia, where she cultivated her interest in acting. She was actively associated with the drama program at Colonial Forge High School from where she graduated in 2014. Her acting path launched from an obligatory part in a play when she was in eighth grade. The experience ignited a strong passion for drama, leading her to enroll at Carnegie Mellon University. She graduated from the School of Drama in 2018. During her university life, Shannon was resident in the Shadyside neighborhood of Pittsburgh. After graduation, Shannon initiated her career in television in 2018 by playing the role of Jada Shields in the fantasy drama series _Charmed_. In 2019, she featured as Kris Waterson in a second reboot of _Black Christmas_, directed by Sophia Takal and produced by Blumhouse Productions. Despite it being her maiden significant shoot, Shannon remarked that she hadn't watched the original films before eventually doing so after concluding the shoot. Her career recorded a significant leap in the Amazon Freevee continuation of the 2008 TNT TV series _Leverage: Redemption in 2020_, where she played the hacker, Breanna Casey, replacing the main character from the original series, Alec Hardison, played by Aldis Hodge. Alongside her television and film roles, Shannon hasn't foresaken the stage. In 2023, she featured in Thomas Bradshaw's version of _The Seagull_. Shannon identifies as queer.
