Between 2013 and 2017, Adams portrayed Lois Lane in several superhero films set in the DC Extended Universe. Other memorable roles include a con artist in American Hustle (2013) and painter Margaret Keane in Big Eyes (2014), both of which won her Golden Globe Awards.
