**Antonia Zegers Oportot**, born on June 29th, 1972, is a respected Chilean actress. With an illustrious career in the film industry, she has participated in some of the most awarded Chilean films. Significant works include **Tony Manero** in 2008, **Post mortem** and **La vida de los peces** both in 2010, **No** in 2012, **El club** in 2015, and the Academy Award-winning film for Best Foreign Language, **A Fantastic Woman** in 2017. Zegers started her acting journey in 1995, debuting with the film by Christine Lucas, **En tu casa a las ocho**. Since then, her film journey has been marked by participation in nearly all works of Pablo Larraín and other renowned Chilean directors like Matías Bize or Marialy Rivas. This journey has led her to earn recognition such as the Havana Star Prize for Best Actress by the 19th Havana Film Festival New York for her work in **Los Perros**. Zegers' inclination towards the performing arts is a result of her upbringing. Born to Fernando Zegers Hochschild, a prominent gynecologist, and Mónica Oportot Salbach, an adventurous Buddhist photographer, she grew up studying at the Saint George's school in Santiago. She later enrolled at the Gustavo Meza Theater School, currently known as the Teatro Imagen. In addition to her blooming film career, she has also fronted Chilean National Television in various telenovelas such as Iorana, La Fiera, Romané, Pampa Illusion, and others, marking her as a versatile actress.
