Brad Pitt, whose given name is William Bradley Pitt, is an American actor and film producer who has been active in the industry since 1987. Notable for his versatile performances in films spanning a wide range of genres and effectively donning roles either as a leading man or supporting actor, Pitt is the recipient of various accolades including two Academy Awards, two British Academy Film Awards, and a Primetime Emmy Award. He initially rose to prominence as a cowboy hitchhiker in Ridley Scott's Thelma & Louise (1991) and further established his acting prowess through numerous successful projects such as Ocean's Eleven (2001), Troy (2004), and World War Z (2013). He snagged the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his portrayal of a stuntman in Quentin Tarantino's Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019). Aside from acting, Pitt also dabbled as a film producer, securing an Academy Award for Best Picture for the film 12 Years a Slave (2013). He is regarded as one of the most influential celebrities and was listed under Forbes' annual Celebrity 100 list from 2006 to 2008 as well as Time 100 list in 2007. In 2001, Pitt ushered in his own production company, Plan B Entertainment. The actor was named as People's Sexiest Man Alive in 1995 and 2000. Intriguingly, he has expressed his avid interest in architecture, even diverting some time to studying computer-aided design under the tutelage of renowned architect Frank Gehry.
