Campbell Scott (Born on July 19, 1961) is a renowned American actor, producer, and director. He is celebrated for his remarkable roles in esteemed projects like Steve Dunne in Singles, Mark Usher in House of Cards, Joseph Tobin in Damages, Richard Parker in The Amazing Spider-Man series, and Boris Kuester von Jurgens-Ratenicz in Royal Pains. In addition, Scott provided his captivating voice for narration in The Men Who Built America. Scott's acting career took off with his debut film appearance in Five Corners in 1987 where he played the role of a policeman. His performance in the film Longtime Companion, a ground-breaking film that chronicles the early years of the AIDS/HIV epidemic won him wide acclaim. He won the Best Actor prize from the National Board of Review in 2002 for his exceptional performance in Roger Dodger. His contribution to voice work includes the audiobook versions of Stephen King's bestsellers The Shining and Cell, and Ernest Hemingway's For Whom the Bell Tolls. Recently, Scott portrayed the lead role of Ebenezer Scrooge in a Broadway adaptation of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. In upcoming film Jurassic World Dominion (2022), the sixth film in the Jurassic Park franchise, Scott plays Dr. Lewis Dodgson.
