Chad Michael Murray

Chad Michael Murray, born August 24, 1981, is a renowned American actor, writer, and former model. He shot to fame playing the lead role of Lucas Scott in the highly popular WB/CW teen drama series One Tree Hill (2003–09, 2012). He has also held recurring roles such as Tristin DuGray on Gilmore Girls (2000–01), Charlie Todd on Dawson's Creek (2001–02), and Edgar Evernever on Riverdale (2019). His film portfolio is equally impressive with a starring role in A Cinderella Story (2004) and supporting roles in Freaky Friday (2003) and Fruitvale Station (2013), among others. Murray continued to grace television screens in series like Chosen (2013–14), Sun Records (2017), Sullivan's Crossing (2023–present), Marvel-ABC series Agent Carter (2015–16), and in a recurring role in Fox's Star (2018–19). In addition to his acting career, Murray is also an accomplished writer, evidenced by his graphic novel Everlast (2011) and American Drifter (2017), a novel co-authored with Heather Graham. Murray hails from Buffalo, New York, where he was raised in a large family by a single father. He attended Clarence High School, developing an early interest in literature and sports, particularly football. Aside from his on-screen career, Murray made headlines due to his relationships, including his short-lived marriage to Sophia Bush, a co-star from One Tree Hill, a long-term engagement to Kenzie Dalton, and his current marriage to Sarah Roemer, with whom he shares three children.
