Cheryl Hines, born on September 21, 1965, is an eminent American actress and director, celebrated for her performance as Cheryl in HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm from 2000 to 2024, a role garnering her two Emmy Award nominations. Besides acting, she has ventured into directing with her 2009 directorial debut, Serious Moonlight. Before her acclaim in the entertainment industry, Hines was born in Miami Beach, Florida, to James and Rosemary Hines and raised in Catholic faith. She graduated from the University of Central Florida in 1990 with a degree in radio and television production.

Hines' acting journey took off performing improvisational comedy at The Groundlings Theater, alongside students like Lisa Kudrow. Her television appearances include shows like Swamp Thing and Unsolved Mysteries. In her personal life, she firstly married Paul Young in 2002, later divorced in 2010, and then married Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in 2014.
