Christopher Paul Massoglia, known professionally as Chris Massoglia, is an American actor and also a politician serving as a city council member for Blaine, Minnesota. He was born on March 29, 1992, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to parents Christopher and Karen Massoglia. His affinity for acting was already apparent during his middle school years when he started attending acting workshops and creating homemade audition tapes for TV commercials. Massoglia's first acting jobs came in the form of commercials for Target, Marshall Field's, PepsiCo, and Best Buy. He made his television debut in 2003 under the pseudonym 'Chris Kelly' in an episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent. He also auditioned for prominent roles in films like Spider-Man 2 and Bad News Bears. His feature film debut came in 2007's A Plumm Summer. His most well-known role is that of Darren Shan in Cirque du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant released in 2009. Although Chris's performance in the film didn't garner much praise, The Hollywood Reporter did call him 'a young Zac Efron…who ably carries the film' while reviewing his 2009 film The Hole. Aside from acting, Massoglia ventured into writing, directing and acted in the short film Playball, released online in 2018. In addition to his entertainment career, he's also involved in politics, winning an election in 2020 to become a member of the Blaine, Minnesota City Council.
