Dana Vernon Ashbrook (born May 24, 1967) is an American actor, acclaimed for his portrayal of Bobby Briggs on the television series Twin Peaks (1990–1991, 2017) and the 1992 prequel film Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. Born and raised in San Diego, California, Dana grew up in a family deeply associated with drama and acting. His father was a director of the Palomar College drama department and his sister is also in the acting profession. He kick started his career with an uncredited role in an Attack of the Killer Tomatoes in 1978, before starring in various successful roles in TV series and films. Additionally, Ashbrook played Gary McDermott on the short-lived television series Crisis Center and portrayed Seth in the film Interstate 5. He was also seen in television series like The Outer Limits, Dawson's Creek, Crash, and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. In 2017, Ashbrook got the opportunity to reprise his role as Bobby Briggs in the revival series Twin Peaks: The Return. His career has been rich and varied, making him a truly notable figure in the world of acting.
