Debby Ryan

Deborah Ann Ryan, widely known as Debby Ryan, is a renowned American actress and singer. Born on May 13, 1993, Ryan first took the stage professionally at the age of seven and gained fame through Disney Channel's countrywide talent hunt. Prominent roles in The Suite Life on Deck (2008–2011), 16 Wishes (2010), Jessie (2011–2015), and Radio Rebel (2012) mark her acting career. Ryan's appearances also include the film What If... (2010), the series Insatiable (2018–2019), The Opening Act (2020), Shortcomings (2023), the thriller Night Teeth (2021), and the Jeff Baena films Horse Girl (2020) and Spin Me Round (2022). Ryan also formed the indie rock band The Never Ending in 2013 and released their EP One in 2014. Ryan began her acting endeavors in television commercials during in her early teens and debuted on television in 2006 on the show Barney & Friends. Her first film role followed in 2007 in Barney: Let's Go to the Firehouse. She played an array of varied characters in popular shows like Suite Life on Deck and Suite Life Movie. She released her debut solo single, We Ended Right, in 2011 under her own label, the Ryan River Studio. She landed Disney Channel series Jessie, which she also helped create. Ryan stepped into the director's shoes for the first time for a Disney Channel production, with season three of Jessie. In 2012, she starred in another Disney Channel movie entitled Radio Rebel and formed the indie band The Never Ending. In 2016, she joined the NBC police series The Mysteries of Laura in season two as Lucy Diamond. Her recent appearances include Netflix's thriller Night Teeth and The Opening Act. In 2023, Ryan featured in Shortcomings, directed by Randall Park.
