Devin Ratray

**Devin D. Ratray** (born January 11, 1977) is an esteemed American actor best known for his role as Buzz McCallister in the Home Alone franchise. He has also appeared in films like Nebraska, Blue Ruin, and Kimi. His television work is no less significant, having been part of notable series such as The Tick and Better Call Saul. Born and raised in New York City to a family of actors, Ratray's career has its roots in his early childhood. He began his foray into acting at the tender age of nine with the film Where Are the Children? (1986). He starred in several other programs and movies before striking a chord with the audience as Buzz McCallister in Home Alone (1990) and its sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992). This role was reprised once again in the 2021 release Home Sweet Home Alone. Over the years, he played diverse characters ranging from a vicious bully, a quirky boyfriend, a computer-obsessed roommate, and even a lisping doctor. His performance in the 2009 film Surrogates earnt him positive reviews from Variety, while his charades to woo former US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice became documented in the internationally released film, Courting Condi (2008). His on-screen professional journey continued with memorable performances in films like Nebraska, Blue Ruin, and Elevator. In 2019, he appeared alongside Jennifer Lopez in Hustlers and in 2022, he was cast in the Steven Soderbergh film Kimi. Despite his professional success, Ratray's personal life has come under scrutiny with allegations of domestic violence and assault in 2021, followed by an investigation for a 2017 rape allegation in 2022.
