**Dianne Evelyn Wiest**, an American actress, was born on March 28, 1948. Her illustrious career began in the 1970s and is adorned with numerous accolades. She is a recipient of two Academy Awards for Best Supporting Actress for her performances in 1986's *Hannah and Her Sisters* and 1994's *Bullets Over Broadway*, both directed by Woody Allen. Additionally, she won a Golden Globe Award for *Bullets Over Broadway*, the 1997 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series for *Road to Avonlea*, and the 2008 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for *In Treatment*. Furthermore, Wiest also received an Academy Award nomination for her role in 1989's *Parenthood*. Her filmography includes diverse appearances in iconic movies such as *Footloose, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Radio Days, Edward Scissorhands, The Birdcage*, and *Rabbit Hole*.
